Gallery specializes in art of the twentieth century with a focus on Pop, Minimalist and Abstract Expressionist artists, featuring works by Jasper Johns, Ellsworth Kelly and Andy Warhol. In addition to its regular schedule of exhibitions, DEMO Gallery participates in several annual art fairs including The Art Dealers Association of America Art Show, NY; FIAC, Paris, France; and The International Fine Print Dealers Association Fair, NY.
09年2月、東京・銀座眼科医でレーシック手術の集団感染が発生した。この眼科の問題は、ずさんな衛生面にあった。
詳細は割愛するが、ここまでひどいレーシック眼科はないだろう。しかし、他のクリニックも他人事ではなく、改めて自分達のオペを見つめなおす機会となったはずである。
本来、レーシックは失敗などがほとんどなく成功率の高いオペである。それが年間45万人もオペをうけるようになった理由である。
今回の件で、安全面、衛生面、眼科医の腕に対して、心配を抱く人も当然増えてきている。そこで、慶応大病院などの大学病院と11のクリニックが「安心レーシックネットワーク」を発足、インターネットなどを通じ、情報を提供していく。
これによってすこしでも問題が解決していくことを願う。
